In the recent transnational meeting held in Valencia, Spain, on February 15-16, 2024, the GaminGEE consortium took significant strides towards its mission to prevent gender inequality from early ages.

Several key agenda items were addressed, reflecting the project’s commitment to advancing gender equality education through innovative means.

One of the primary focuses of the meeting was to discuss financial and administrative matters pertaining to the project, to ensure smooth operation and resource management.
Disseminating project outcomes and raising awareness about gender equality education remained a priority during the meeting. Partners discussed strategies for effectively disseminating project results to various stakeholders, including educators, families, and the wider community.

Development of the Graphic Adventure Game

The primary result of the project is the creation of a graphic adventure game that serves as a tool for gender equality education. The game’s plot aligns with the values and objectives outlined in the project’s educational guides, reinforcing the lessons learned in a captivating and interactive manner.

Unlike traditional approaches to sex education, GaminGEE offers an intersectional perspective, addressing a comprehensive range of emotional, health, and social issues related to sexuality and gender. This approach aims to change mindsets regarding biased gender roles and eliminate tolerance for any form of violence.

The meeting involved a comprehensive follow-up on the progress of Result 2, including discussions on the game plot, diverse plots, dilemmas, dialogues, and technical development.
Workshops were conducted to brainstorm ideas for the game’s general plot development, mini-games, and technical aspects. Emphasis was placed on creating diverse plots, incorporating dilemmas and dialogues that promote critical thinking and empathy among players, and addressing technical development challenges. Partners continued to explore themes of inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment, aiming to create engaging and thought-provoking gameplay experiences that align with the project’s objectives.

Overall, the transnational meeting of the GaminGEE project in Valencia was instrumental in advancing discussions on financial, administrative, and developmental aspects of the project. With a shared commitment to promoting gender equality through innovative educational tools, partners left the meeting with a renewed sense of purpose and direction for the project’s future endeavors.
